Dr. John Flutter Video, Posture, and Updates

I was watching mouth therapy and tongue thrust related videos on youtube yesterday and I stumbled upon this preview for Dr. John Flutter's Myofunctional Training DVD: Wow! He talks about a lot of things I've wondered about, like the relationship between the muscles of the mouth and tongue and the teeth. Whenever I'm listening to someone and I notice gaps between teeth, twisted teeth, open bites, mouth breathing and other abnormalities I always watch their tongues and see what's going on. Dr. Flutter talks about the relationship between swallowing, breathing, tongue placement, teeth alignment, and jaw structure. He also talks about how poor body posture is connected to mouth breathing and can lead to poor teeth alignment, which I've also wondered about. If you have a tongue thrust you should watch this preview!

Where Have I BEEN?

I decided take a break from the blog in order to focus my energy internally on my mental image of my teeth. My mental image is: back right side molars touching, lips sealed, tongue put in pocket of roof of mouth. If my tongue isn't up there, my tongue is thrusting. I'm trying to cut down on denial. I'm still thrusting a LOT. I'm going to focus more on this internal image and less on my external image. Every month expect three photos. Unless I see major improvements, I won't shoot more. Daily photos have become too discouraging.
